Dear Thief,

I just wanted to write a quick note on my blog to thank the thief who stole our van last Wednesday. I am sure you found all 6 of our car seats to be of use to you in your thieving activities. I am sure it was easy for you to find a pawn shop nearby to pawn my husbands tools that he uses to provide for our family. Dear thief, thank you so much for trashing the inside of our van and leaving all of your drug paraphernalia inside. And... for the stolen motorcycle that was found in the back! We now have to change the locks to the doors of our home and the locks and keys to our van. What a big surprise you have given us and I am grateful for the reminders you have left behind. The reminder of these truths from the Bible...

Matthew 6:19  Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

Luke 12:33  Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

2 Peter 3:10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Revelation 16:15  Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Praise God! I know just how quickly He meant now!

I sincerely forgive you sir and I do hope that you will find eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Romans 10:9,10  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

You would'nt have to steal from others ever again...

Proverbs 8:21  That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

Proverbs 10:22  The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

John 14:2,3  In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

I am so glad that we got our van back. I praise God for it's safe return!

  1. What on earth.....a motorcycle in the trunk!! that is crazy! Praise the Lord your van is back?? Do you guys have a garage? Congrats on Steadfast Baptist looks like the Lord is blessing greatly!!!

    1. Yes Kelly, it is a crazy story. I can't believe it even happened...I have never even heard of someone having their car stolen. We have a 15 passenger van. We had already taken out the last bench seat to use as a trunk. (There is no trunk space in those vans) The thief removed another bench seat and tied down the stolen motorcycle with seat belts. We had to cut one of the seat belts to get it out. I am so thankful it was only gone for less than 24 hours. The police found it at a shady "game room" not too far from our house. The police did not even try to get the thief...I am sure he was inside of that "game room" The police told us that they find stolen vehicles there at least once a week. Not good! Anyway...please pray for our safety. I know the Lord is watching over us!

  2. Wow!!! a motorcycle in the trunk though??? This is such a crazy story! Praise the Lord you got your van back=) Just one of Satan's attacks I am sure He is furious about the work of the Lord with Steadfast Baptist Church!

    1. 2 Corinthians 2: 11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

  3. Praise the Lord you got your van back!
