Luke 23:29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck. Picture the world. I am thinking of 2 Timothy 3:2-5 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. Christians today are so much like the world that the people around them will never even know that they are Christian. Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. If you are living your life for anything rather than the Lord Jesus Christ than you are standing in the way of sinners.
One of the big issues that I have a problem with is birth control. Yet it is not just my opinion. It is clear that in the Bible that children are a blessing from God. I am not ignorant of what God has to say about children. But it doesn't stop there. Finding out the facts about the birth control is shocking and not even close to biblical. I must admitt that I have used birth control myself, but once I discovered not only what it was doing to me but the unborn children that I could be aborting I decided 100% against it. I think it is hard to surrender your womb to God. It takes faith. Sometimes faith is the first step. Take a step of faith and your faith will be increased.
After I had my son (#3) my husband and I both came together at the same time, and decided we were going to let God have control of our family size. God worked on us both. Through many different avenues God reached us at the same time. After making the choice not to use BC we conceived our 4th child just months later. We were so excited. We literally jumped for joy. It was the first child that we were going to have in obedience to God's Word. It was hard, though. People around us were shocked. We already had 3 little kids. Their obvious questions to us were "how are you going to feed all of those kids?" "what kind of life do you want to have?" But we stood up for our decision and because of our obedience our faith was increased. When Hosanna was born we were OVERJOYED! She has been a huge blessing. It is so different to have a child after a choice like that.
God changed my husband and I. God can change you too. He can help you to see his miracle of having children. He can help you to embrace being a mother. God made woman to have children. I can say all of this because it is true in my own life. I am not saying that it is easy to be mom or that it's just wonderful all of the time. But if you can get your heart into the right place, and trust God to have control in your life you will be so blessed and having children will be easier and truly enjoyable.
