Update

Here is a little bit of what we have been up to.

Of course there has been a lot more than just what is pictured here. Just last weekend my parents came to visit and took us to the Phoenix Zoo. They also bought us a zoo membership. I am excited to return to the zoo. We spent 5 hours there last Saturday and still only saw part of it. We have yet to have a close up of tigers or the giraffes, which are my favorite. I will post some pics later once I get motivated.

Green Eggs & Ham

This year Christmas was very abnormal for us. Because of our recent move to Arizona, we no longer live close to either of our parents. Usually every year on Christmas we get together with both sides of the family and exchange gifts, eat, and enjoy one another's company. Since this wasn't possible this year we decided to make the best of it. I decorated our tree as always after Thanksgiving and as always waited until the night before Christmas to put out the gifts. Wait! This year we put out the gifts early due to the fact that church would fall on Christmas Day. SO...on Christmas Eve we put out all the gifts people had blessed us with and a few gifts that we had for eachother.

We had a very special time opening gifts and making memories with the kids. For our Christmas Eve dinner we invited some freinds over to feast on ham, cheesy potatoes, green bean casserole, homemade rolls, fruit salad and a yummy apple pie for desert. We had a wonderful time with our friends and I felt very blessed to have such great people to spend time with. The next morning my kids were determined to have green eggs & ham.My husband and I both made this special breakfast. He cooked the green egss and I dyed the ham and warmed it. Not only did the kids enjoy it but Donnie and I also had a lot of fun coming up with how to make it happen.

And if you are wondering 'how do you make green eggs & ham?' I am not the one to ask. It was an experiment. One to be perfected next Christmas as this is something we want to repeat every year.
