It seems that every pregnancy I have cravings. Some more than others. This pregnancy has been especially full of cravings. Normally I crave these 2 things hot and sour. I usually crave Mexican food (Taco Bell) and lemons. That has been pretty much the same with all 5 pregnancies. But this time around I find myself craving the whole range of tastes (except bitter) Sour, sweet, salty, and hot. One of the main cravings that has been pretty steady throughout is hot wings. I love crispy hot wings! One of my favorites is Chili's boneless buffalo wings. They are delicious with ranch...yum...yum..yum! I have also been craving homemade Mexican dishes, cinnamon rolls, cheesecake, ice cream (Ben & Jerry's Brownie Batter), bacon, waffles, pickled jalapenos, fried eggs and toast, homemade tomato soup, chili dogs, homemade chicken nuggets, and the list just goes on and on. One main factor, most of these foods are not very good for your health. At least I can say one thing, I try my best to make most things at home and don't over indulge in them if I can help it, LOL! I think there is one thing for sure, if a pregnant lady is craving something nothing with stop that craving until it's fufilled. I think I feel a craving coming on right now...Thanksgiving dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, OHHHH I can't wait!

Summer is now in full swing. Things are heating up here in the desert and temperatures are sky high! I usually enjoy summer. It is strange for me to be cooped up in the house during this season. But as pregnant as I am it is just dreadful to go anywhere during the hours of 10am-8pm. After the sun goes down it is bearable and even pleasant at times, especially when you can feel a breeze. Due to hormones and my tooth ache that I have had for almost 2 weeks I am especially grumpy. I don't feel much like doing anything. I have a lot to get done in the weeks ahead and just no motivation to do them. I found myself thinking this morning that I cannot wait until I start "nesting." I always get so much done when birth is near. The kids are stir crazy too. They are cooped up in this house and mean ole mom wont let them play in the back of the house. So they are confined to the living room, kitchen, and dining room all day. Poor children! I don't know what I would do without home school and coloring books. I am definitely looking forward to cooler days.

As I have heard it said a million times before kids grow up so fast. I cannot believe that I will be the mother to 5 children in just a few months and that my oldest is almost 6 already! Where has the time gone? I suppose it has gone in to thousands of diaper changes, baths, and meal preparations. Not to mention the millions of loads of laundry. Then add in all of the memories and fun little moments I will never get back. Like the first time they all rolled over, crawled, walked, got their first owie, and the first smile, kiss, and their first words. I am grateful for they days I have spent being a mother and that I can stay home with my children and see them grow with each day. Thank the Lord for his gift of family. (Please excuse the poor picture quality my phone and blogger do not make good pics together)

For the past week I have let my kids play outside in the sprinkler every day. Right around 4 pm the kids get stir crazy, so I give in to letting them get soaking wet and make a mud pit out of our backyard. It is quite a site to see them having water fights and finding any way to make playing in the water more fun. Yesterday I caught them filling up our cooler and sitting in it as a "swimming pool." Then I hear the words, now let me get baptized. LOL! What a riot these little people are. They have huge imaginations which make any time a fun time. Life is too short to worry about mud and soaking wet clothes and it's great to see them shivering when it is 105 degrees out!

The laundry monster has been living at our house since we moved to Phoenix. That would make it just about 8 months. I used to have a really good system that kept that pesky laundry monster away as long as I stuck to the plan. I just can't seem to tame this ugly monster. Ever since we were without a washer and dryer for 5 months and had to go to the laundry mat once or twice a week, that ugly monster just doesn't want to leave. Last week I felt as if I were finally going to snuff out ol' LM and then he just reared his ugly head back up again this week as I am busy dealing with emergency after emergency. So I wonder...how do other mom's do it? How do they keep their laundry from piling up, especially if things come up that prevent them from doing what is planned. And how do they keep motivated on a rough day or week to tackle the LM? I have hope that I will one day regain my system and remove the LM from my home (at least temporarily). But with the new baby on her way and so much to be done before she arrives I believe that my LM will have to stay at least for the summer. So why not embrace it.
Not only is laundry on my mind this week but I recently got a virus on my computer. I have been using this website called swagbucks. To earn literally pennies a day on my free time. You can then be rewarded with gift cards to places like Amazon.com. While using this server my computer I picked up a virus and it is an ugly one. Several times I have attempted to remove it and it seems to work only to find out that it's back and is still messing with my computer. I am sure that it will send me looking for a good virus killer on the web sooner than later. As for right now it seems at bay, but only time will tell. But I have learned my lesson and wont be using swagbucks anytime soon.
The kids are doing really well. My oldest is blowing through her school work and I do believe she will be ready to start first grade in the fall. She is really growing and maturing and becoming such a help to me. Glory is very smart and will be catching up to her sister in school very shortly. Silas is more crazy than ever, and really is a total BOY! Hosanna seems to do good one day as far as behaviour and the next day she is a little terror on wheels. I am working with her a great deal and am hopeful that her behaviour will straighten up before the new baby comes in 13 weeks or less. And as for baby well she seem quite active and is growing as to be expected. I am excited to meet her but I sure do have a lot to do before she gets here, better get it in gear.
I hope everyone is enjoying the hot summer weather, things have just started to warm up over here and it's just the beginning. It was 105 yesterday...and the temperatures keeps climbing. YAy for pregnant summers...NOT!!

Life sometimes seems like a whirlwind. Days pass by so quickly and time goes by so fast that it is hard to keep up with everything. There was the usual this morning, a mountain of dishes with every single dish and flatware in my sink. Along with laundry that has been piling up over the weekend. The kids' toys are scattered all over the house and the floors all need vacuumed, swept and/or mopped. Oh, but when I think of all of the Mondays I spend catching up on my chores and doing my usual mommy thizzle, I just have to laugh. What a life! To be needed in so many ways. And to actually have something do every day. It was a hectic weekend and it is refreshing to get back to my routine on this Monday morning. Sometimes you just have to laugh a little...it sure does make a busy Monday a little bit easier.
